If health care seeds scatter, let's see what blooms | Star Tribune
This guy is certainly against single payer universal health care given his love for what he calls "free-market values". We need to understand more about why Vermont dropped the move to single payer. The idea that the "free market" competitive system of selling things fits with access to health care is why our system costs so much and has such terrible results. Too many in this country do not think access to health care should be a right and think such access needs to be only available to those worthy of it. Talk about "values"! What has happened to our democratic and religious values in this country? Fighting against universal health care access and insisting it be treated as a commodity is at the core of our problem and it is based on the most difficult of reasons -- internal values. Changing those is a hard and long process.
